Mga pilot school ng MATATAG curriculum sa La Union, nakatanggap ng tech assistance mula sa DepEd

Binisita ng mga opisiyales ng Department of Education Central Office ang mga pilot schools ng MATATAG curriculum sa Region 1, kung saan, lahat ng mga ito ay matatagpuan sa lalawigan ng La Union.

Personal na dumalaw sa mga paaralan si Undersecretary for Curriculum and Teaching Gina O. Gonong, Assistant Secretary for Curriculum and Teaching Alma Ruby C. Torio, Dr. Margarita Ballesteros, Director IV, DepEd RO1 Regional Director Tolentino G. Aquino, DepEd RO1 Assistant Regional Director Rhoda T. Razon, La Union Schools Division Superintendent Jorge M. Reinante, SGOD Chief Emiliana Boac, CID Chief German Flora at iba pang opisiyal ng kagawaran.

Kabilang sa mga pilot school ng MATATAG curriculum sa Region 1 ang Casacristo National High School, Acao Elementary School, Caba Central School, Cabaruan Integrated School, at Don Rufino Olarte Memorial National High School.

Nasa ilalim ng MATATAG curriculum ang mga mag-aaral sa Kindergarten, Grades 1, 4, at 7.

Ang MATATAG ay acronym para sa prinsipyong ito sa loob ng paaralan: “Make the curriculum relevant to produce job-ready, active, and responsible citizens; Take steps to accelerate the delivery of basic education services and provision of facilities; Take good care of learners by promoting learner well-being, inclusive learning, and creating a positive learning environment; at Give support for teachers to enhance their teaching skills.”
