Sinang-ayunan ng Kamara ang pahayag ni dating Pang. Rodrigo Duterte na kailangan maging ‘transparent’ at ‘auditable’ ang paggugol sa pondo batay sa inilabas na pahayag ni House Sec. Gen. Reginald Velasco.
Sa isang panayam sa telebisyon, sinabi ng dating pangulo na kung gustong tumakbo ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez sa pagkapangulo ay wala itong problema basta ipapasilip nito kung paano ginagastos ng gobyerno partikular ang Kamara ng kanilang pondo.
“The House of Representatives, under the leadership of Speaker Martin Romualdez, is in agreement with former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte that government expenditures should be transparent and fully auditable.” sabi ni Velasco
Ayon kay Velasco, ang lahat ng line item sa pondo ng Kamara ay isinasailalim sa audit.
Katunayan, sa COA report na inilabas nito lamang October 2, walang disallowances, notice of suspension at notice of charge na ipinataw ang COA.
Ibig sabihin ay pasado sa pagsusuri ng COA ang paggasta ng House of Representatives.
“All line items in our budget are subject to regular accounting and auditing rules and regulations. Laging bukas po ang aming libro sa Commission on Audit. As per latest COA report released only last October 2, the House of Representatives has no disallowances.
