Pumalo sa 4.26 billion US dollars na halaga ng investment ang agad na na-selyuhan sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Saudi business leaders, sa unang araw ng pananatili ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., para sa ASEAN – GCC Summit sa Riyadh.
Ayon sa pangulo, higit 15,000 Pilipino ang magbebenepisyo mula sa invest agreement na ito, sa linya ng construction industry at human resources services.
“With an estimated value of over USD 120 million, the agreements that will be signed today are set to benefit more than 15,000 Filipinos in training and employment opportunities across a wide range of professions in the construction industry,” —Pangulong Marcos.
Ayon sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), kabilang sa mga lumagda ng kasunduan ang Al Rus haid Petroleum Investment Company at Samsung Engineering NEC Co. Ltd. at ang EEI Corp. ng Pilipinas para sa construction export services.
Ilan pa sa lumagda ang Al-Jeer Human Resources Company-ARCO at ang Association of Philippine Licensed Agencies for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia para sa human resource services agreement, na nagkakahalaga ng $3.7 billion.
“The DTI added that Saudi’s Maharah Human Resources Company inked an investment agreement worth $191 million each to Philippines’ Staffhouse International Resources Corporation and E-GMP International Corporation for human resource services.” —Secretary Garafil.
