Mariing kinokondena ng Kamara de Representantes ang panibagong insidente ng panggigipit ng China sa Pilipinas sa West Philippine Sea.
Ito ay matapos tahasang banggain ng Chinese Coast Guard vessel 5203 ang private resupply boat ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Ayon kay House Speaker Martin Romualdez, inilalagay nito sa alanganin hindi lang ang mga nakasakay sa barko ngunit maging ang katatagan ng pang rehiyong kapayapaan.
“We, at the House of Representatives, vehemently condemn China’s recent actions that led to the collision of its coast guard vessel 5203 with the private resupply vessel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Such actions not only jeopardized the lives of those onboard but also threatened regional peace and stability.” sabi ni Romualdez
Panawagan pa ng House leader sa China, na tumalima sa international maritime law at siguruhin ang ligtas na pagdaan ng lahat ng sasakyang pandagat sa West Philippine Sea.
Makikipag-ugnayan din aniya ang pamahalaan sa international community at kalapit bansa, para mapigilan ang ginagawang paglabag ng China—isang bansa na hindi lang aniya trading partner ngunit inaasahang magiging kaalyado.
“Such incidents cannot be overlooked.
