Nanawagan si Speaker Martin Romualdez sa lahat na siguruhin ang isang maayos at payapang pagdaraos ng Baranggay at Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) sa darating na Lunes.
Paghimok nito sa mga kandidao na huwag gumamit ng dahas at pahalagahan ang diwa ng demokrasya.
Dagdag pa nito na ang ligtas na proseso ng halalan ay mahalaga upang mapangalagaan ang karapatan ng mga mamamayan.
“Our barangays serve as the foundation of our nation’s governance. It is crucial that these elections take place in an atmosphere of tranquility and respect for the rule of law,” ani Speaker Romualdez.
Dapat din aniya na makaboto ang bawat botante ng walang pangamba o kinatatakutan at malayo sa impluwensya, manipulasyon at diskriminasyon.
“When voters can cast their ballots without fear of intimidation or violence, it upholds the very essence of democracy – the idea that every citizen’s voice is valued and every vote is equal.
