Pinabulaanan ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez na siya ang nasa likod ng mga resolusyon sa Kamara na humihikayat sa mga ahensya ng pamahalaan na makipagtulungan sa imbestigasyon ng International Criminal Court.
Tugon ito ni Romualdez nang hingan ng reakyson sa pahayag ni dating Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque na target aprubahan ng Kamara sa susunod na linggo ang tatlong resolusyon tungkol dito.
Ayon kasi kay Roque ginagawa ito ni Romualdez bilang paghahanda sa 2028 presidential elections.
Ani Romualdez, iginagalang niya ang opinyon ni Roque pero wala itong katotohanan.
“Our good friend former Sec. Harry Roque, must have thoughts that well, he’s got his ideas, we respect his thoughts and opinions but they’re not accurate. So I’ll just put it to that. There’s nothing to wit, a lot of speculation but none of that is true” diin ni Romualdez.
Dagdag pa nito na ginagawa lang ng Kamara ang trabaho nito na dinggin at talakayin sa isang sensitibo at responsive na pamamaraan ang mga hinaing ng Kongresista.
“Well as they say, this is what you call, this is the sense of the house of representatives. There were succession of resolution that are being filed and of course as a matter of course, we have to read out these bills or resolutions and we have to act on the same. And we have to be sensitive and responsive to the, mga hinaing po ng ating mga kongresista. And so we have to look at it. One at a time” paliwanag ng House leader.
Sabi pa ng House Speaker na hahayaan na lang nila kung ano ang magiging interpretasyon ng iba ngunit sa kanilang panig ito ay trabaho lang.
