Nasa 87% o mayorya ng mga Pilipino ang naniniwalang naranasan na nila ang epekto ng climate change sa nakalipas na tatlong taon, batay yan sa survey ng Social Weather Stations o SWS.
Ayon sa survey, 19% ang nagsabing malala ang kanilang naranasang epekto ng climate change, 43% naman ang ‘moderate’ habang 24% ang nagsabing maliit lang ang impact sa kanila ng climate change.
Nasa 88% din ng respondents ang naniniwalang malaking banta sa kanilang pisikal na kalusugan ang climate change habang 81% din ang nagsabing malaki rin ang epekto nito sa kanilang mental health.
Kabilang naman sa mga emosyong naramdaman ng mga respondent dahil sa epekto ng climate change ang kalungkutan, pagkabahala, at takot.
Kaugnay nito, naniniwala naman ang 57% ng mga Pilipino na may magagawa pa ang bawat isa para mapigilan ang malalang epekto ng climate change.
