Ibinahagi ng senator na noong 2022, lumabas na ang Pilipinas ay pang lima sa mga bansa sa Southeast Asia pagdating sa phishing attacks.
Sa parehong taon rin ay nawalan ang ating bansa ng P623 million dahil sa fraud; P623 million sa phishing; at P409 million sa identity theft.
Kaya naman sinabi ni Poe, na panahon nang higpitan ang seguridad ng digital financial accounts kabilang ang sa GCash, Maya, online banking pati na ang e-wallets ng mga pinakagamit na apps gaya ng Shopee, Lazada at Grab.
Iginiit ng senador, na kinakailangan na ng mas konkretong aksyon para habulin at parusahan ang mga manloloko at masasamang loob para mas tumaas ang tiwala sa financial system ng bansa.
