Ito’y matapos aprubahan ng korte kamakailan ang kanselasyon ng kaniyang pasaporte.
Dahil dito, agad sumulat ang Department of Justice sa gobyerno ng Timor Leste para hingiin ang deportasyon laban sa dating kongresista.
Ayon kay Justice Assistant Sec. Mico Clavano, nagpadala na sila ng liham sa nasabing bansa upang pabalikin si Teves sa Pilipinas.
Umaasa ang DOJ na pagbibigyan ng Timor Leste ang kahilingan ng DOJ para harapin ni Teves ang patung-patong na kaso na isinampa sa kaniya kaugnay ng pagpatay kay dating Gov. Roel Degamo.
Nakatitiyak naman ang DOJ na kasalukuyang nasa Timor Leste pa rin ang dating mambabatas dahil wala naman daw silang natatanggap na impormasyon kung nakaalis na ito doon. | ulat ni Michael Rogas
