Pinuri ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez si Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. matapos nitong makuha ang commitment ng Estados Unidos at Japan na suportahan ang development ng Subic-Clark-Batangas railway project.

Ang commitment ay inihayag sa makasaysayang trilateral meeting kasama si US President Joe Biden at Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

Ayon kay Speaker Romualdez, sa Joint Vision Statement inanunsiyo ang paglulunsad ng Luzon Economic Corridor na susuporta sa connectivity ng Subic Bay, Clark, Manila, and Batangas.

Nag-commit ang tatlong bansa na isulong ang coordinated investments sa high-impact infrastructure projects, kabilang na ang rail, ports modernization, clean energy at semiconductor supply chains; at deployments, agribusiness, at civilian port upgrades sa Subic Bay.

Ang corridor ay bahagi ng Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGI)-IPEF Accelerator.

Sinabi ng House leader, ang naturang proyekto na paghusayin ang cargo transportation, trade activities, ay maka-eengganyo ng investments sa rehiyon.
