Nagsanay sa maritime search and rescue ang Philippine Navy, US Indo-Pacific Command (US-INDOPACOM), at French Navy sa West Philippine Sea sa ika-apat na araw ng 5-araw na multilateral maritime exercise na bahagi ng Balikatan 2024, kahapon.

Ang mga barkong kalahok ay ang BRP Ramon Alcaraz (PS-16) at BRP Davao Del Sur (LD-602) ng Phil. Navy, USS Harpers Ferry (LSD-49) ng U.S. Navy, at FS Vendemiaire (FFH-734), ng French Navy.

Nauna rito, nagsagawa ang mga barko ng division tactics at Officer of the Watch Maneuver Exercise para masubukan ang kakayahan ng magkaalyadong pwersa na sabayang kumilos bilang paghahanda para sa maritime search and rescue exercise.

Ang kolaborasyon ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), US-INDOPACOM at French Navy ay demonstrasyon ng kahalagahan ng multilateral partnership para masiguro ang kaligtasan, seguridad at kahandaan ng mga magkaalyadong pwersa sa West Philippine Sea. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
