Sa kaniyang House Bill 10349 o “PWD and Senior Citizen-Friendly Tourism Sites Act,” gagawing accessible ang mga tourist site sa Pilipinas para sa mga persons with disabilities (PWD) at senior citizen, upang sila ay maengganyo na bumiyahe na inaasahang makakapagpasigla ng turismo at ekonomiya ng bansa.
“Accessible tourism is the ongoing endeavor to ensure tourist destinations, products, and services are accessible to all people, regardless of their physical limitations, disabilities, or age. This includes publicly and privately owned tourist locations, facilities and services,” sabi ni Villar.
Pangungunahan ng Department of Tourism, katuwang ang Department of Public Works and Highways, National Council on Disability Affairs, at National Commission of Senior Citizens, sa pagsiguro na ang mga pasilidad sa iba’t ibang tourism site sa bansa ay PWD at senior citizen-friendly.
Kabilang dito ang pagkakaroon ng accessible entrances, corridors, toilets na may grab bars, rampa, elevators, accessible information desks, water taps, emergency exits, at iba pa.
