Binati ni House Appropriations Committee chair at Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Zaldy Co ang kapwa Bicolano na si Sen. Chiz Escudero kasunod ng pagkakahalal nito bilang bagong Senate President.
Aniya, ipinagmamalaki niya ang bagong papel na ginagampanan ngayon ng kaniyang kababayan.
Sabi ni Co, may malalim na pag-unawa si Escudero sa proseso ng lehislasyon at isa sa mga tagapagsulong ng ‘good governance’.
“As a fellow Bicolano, I’m immensely proud to witness Sen. Chiz Escudero’s remarkable achievement. His election as Senate President is a testament to his unwavering dedication, exemplary leadership, and steadfast commitment to serving the Filipino people,” sabi ni Co.
Ilan sa mga batas na isinulong ni Escudero ang Tax Exemption for Minimum Wage Earners and Increased Tax Exemptions, Anti-Vagrancy Law, Anti-Enforced or Involuntary Disappearance Act (RA 10353), at Anti-Torture Act (RA 9745).
Sabi pa niya na ang pag-angat ni Senador Escudero bilang Senate President ay ‘di lamang tagumpay ng mga Bicolano kundi ng lahat ng Pilipinong nagnanais ng epektibo, transparent, at responsableng pamamahala.
“I’m confident that under his stewardship, the Senate will continue to champion the interests of our people, particularly in these challenging times. Congratulations, Senate President Chiz! Your Bicolano roots has always been a source of pride, and your new role elevates this pride to new heights. Mabuhay ka!” saad ni Co.
Maging si House Majority Leader Manuel Jose Dalipe ay positibo na mas mapalakas pa ang ugnayan at pagkakasundo ng Senado at Kamara ngayong si Escudero na ang namumuno.
Mahalaga aniya ito upang masigurong mapagtibay ang mga LEDAC priority measures.
“With Senator Escudero at the helm of the Senate, we anticipate strengthened alignment between our chambers, particularly in advancing the priorities of the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC). His leadership is crucial as we jointly tackle key measures vital for national development and progress.” sabi ni Dalipe.
Excited na rin aniya siya na makatrabaho ang kaniyang senate counterpart na si Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino.
