Aabot sa halos isang libong bagong recruits ang inaasahang makakatulong sa Bureau of Corrections ngayong buwan matapos maka-graduate ito sa kanilang training sa iba’t ibang operating prison and penal farm.
Ayon kay BuCor Director General Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr., nagtapos ang nasabing mga bagong recruit sa Corrections National Training Institute (CNTI), kung saan nagmula ang mga ito sa Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm, Leyte Regional Prison, San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm at iba pang prison at penal farm ng BuCor sa buong bansa.
Kinilala ang bagong graduates na class PAYONIRUS o ‘Pagwasto Ayon sa Integridad Reporma Ukol sa Hangarin ng Makabagong Kawanihan ng Koreksyon’.
Paliwanag ng BuCor na simula December 2022, umabot na sa mahigit dalawang libong recruits mula sa mga batch ng GAWIS-DIWA, MANDATOS, SALIG-TALA, MAKSIL-DASIG at itong PAYONIRUS ang nakakumpleto ng matinding physical exercises at highly acclaimed academic phase ng Corrections Officer Custodial Basic Course.
Ayon naman kay C/CINSP Lucio Guevarra, Acting Director, CNTI sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Catapang, naitala ang mandatory advanced courses na nagsimula ng graduation ng kauna-unahang Junior Custodial Supervisory Course at Senior Custodial Supervisory Course,.
Isa lang aniya ito sa mga reformation program na ipinatutupad ni Catapang para makapag-produce ng hindi lang ng professional corrections officers kundi mabuo sa mga ito ang strong moral values, supplement knowledge at mas malalim na paglago at pag-unlad sa mga BuCor personnel. | ulat ni Lorenz Tanjoco
