Siniguro ni House Assistant Majority Leader at Zambales Rep. Jay Khonghun na ginagawa ng administrasyong Marcos Jr. ang lahat para protektahan ang mga Pilipinong mangingisda mula sa banta ng China.
Sa gitna ito ng bagong polisiya ng China na hulihin at ikulong ang mga dayuhan na papasok sa inaangkin nilang teritoryo simula June 15.
Sa harap ng mga mangingisda ng Zambales, sinabi ni Khonghun na gagawin ng gobyerno ang lahat para sa patuloy na pamamalakaya ng mga mangingisda sa Bajo de Masinloc.
Kabilang dito ang paghahain ng diplomatic protest laban sa iligal na aksyon ng China gayundin ang pagpapalakas sa asset ng Philippine Coast Guard at Philippine Navy para bantayan ang mga mangignisda.
Una nang hiniling ni Speaker Martin Romualdez sa PCG na isumite sa Kamara ang komprehensibong listahan ng mga asset na kailangan nila para mapalakas ang kapabilidad.
“Ang ating gobyerno sa pangunguna po ng ating Presidente, Presidente Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, at siyempre po ng ating Speaker, Speaker Martin Romualdez, ay gagawin po lahat ng kanilang magagawa upang protektahan ang ating mga mangingisda laban sa banta ng China na huhulihin lalong-lalong sa June 15,” sabi ni Khonghun.
Mungkahi naman ni Sta. Rosa City Rep. Dan Fernandez na magsama-sama ang mga mangingida sa pagpalaot.
“Ang aking advice sa ating mga mangingisda, sama-sama sila. Alam niyo pag-consolidated sila, the more na magkakaroon ng deterrent ‘yan sa magpapatupad ng pagbabawal ng pangingisda sa ating mga mangingisda dito. I believe that together we will be having a form of strength na mapapakita natin sa ating Chinese counterpart, saad ni Fernandez.
Sa panig naman ni Leyte Rep. Richard Gomez, sinabi nito na kailangan ipagpatuloy ang bilateral talks kasama ang China kaugnay sa usapin ng panghuhuli.
