Hinikayat ni Finance Secretary Ralph Recto ang mga top executives ng Japanese companies na i-expand ang kanilang pagnenegosyo sa Pilipinas.

Pinangunahan ni Recto ang Philippine delegation para makipag-usap sa ilang malalaking kumpanya sa Japan, kabilang dito ang Sojitz Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, Murata Manufacturing Company, at Sumitomo Corporation.

Layon ng Pilipinas na gamitin ang technological expertise ng mga top-notch companies upang pasiglahin ang pag-unlad at paglago ng bansa.

Ang pulong ay inorganisa ng field office ng Department of Trade and Industry sa Tokyo na bahagi ng Philippine Economic Briefing sa Japan.
