NEDA, iginagalang ang paghahain ng petisyon ng ilang grupo ng mga magsasaka laban sa kautusan na magpapababa sa taripa ng imported bigas

Inihayag ng National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) na hinihintay pa nito ang kopya ng petisyon ng ilang grupo ng mga magsasaka na humihiling na ipahinto ang Executive Order No. 62.

Ito ang kautusan na nagpababa sa taripa ng mga imported na bigas at iba pang produktong agrikultural.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni NEDA Secretary Arsenio Balisacan na hinihintay pa nila ang opisyal na kopya ng petisyon at igagalang nila ang proseso ng batas.

Tiniyak din ng kalihim na sa pamamagitan ng Office of the Solicitor General ay magbibigay ng tugon ang NEDA sa tamang panahon.

Kasama sa respondent sina Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin sa petisyong inihain ng iba’t ibang grupo ng magsasaka sa Korte Suprema.

Kinukwestyon nila ang legalidad ng EO 62 na nagpapababa ng taripa sa imported na bigas. | ulat ni Diane Lear
