Dating health secretary, malamig sa planong palitan ang pangalan ng DOH

Para kay dating Health secretary at ngayon ay Iloilo Representative Janette Garin, hindi na kailangan pang palitan ang pangalan ng Department of Health (DOH).

Kasunod ito ng pahayag ni DOH Secretary Ted Herbosa na inaaral nila ngayon na gawing Department of Health and Wellness ang DOH, at tawaging Chief Wellness Officer ang Secretary of Health.

Sabi ni Garin, mas maraming malaking problema ang DOH na dapat pagtuunan ng pansin.

“Well, honestly, it will not make any difference eh. Mas maraming malalaking problema ang DOH na dapat pagtuunan because wellness is actually part of health. Wellness is part of health. So, changing the name can be okay but it will not really make a difference,” sabi ni Garin.

Hindi rin aniya praktikal ang plano na ito.

Punto niya kakailanganin pang magpalit ng logo mula sa central office hanggang sa pinakamababang unit ng ospital na dagdag gastos lamang.
