Idineklara ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang July 2024 bilang “National Census and Community-based Monitoring System Month.”
Ito ayon kay Communications Secretary Cheloy Velicaria- Garafil ay upang suportahan ang pagsasagawa ng 2024 census sa populasyon at CBMS (POPCEN-CBMS) sa bansa, simula July hanggang September, 2024.
“Executive Order (EO) No. 352 (s. 1996) requires the conduct of the nationwide censuses and surveys and the maintenance/processing of administrative-based records on a regular basis. These include the POPCEN every 10 years and the mid-decade POPCEN every five years.” -PCO.
Sa dalawang pahinang Proclamation No. 627 na pirmado ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, ika-9 ng Hulyo, inatasan ang National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), sa pamamagitan ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), na pangunahan, mag-coordinate, at mangasiwaan ang observance ng kaganapang ito.
“All citizens and residents of the Philippines are encouraged to cooperate with the PSA and its census enumerators in the conduct of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS, by providing truthful and complete information in response to census questions, subject to existing laws, rules and regulations,” -PCO
Lahat ng ahensya ng pamahalaan, government-owned-or-controlled corporations (GOCC), at state universities and colleges (SUCs) ay inaatasan na makibahagi sa kaganapan.
