PHIVOLCS, nakapagtala ng 11 volcanic earthquake at higit 2,000 tonelada ng asupre sa Mt. Kanlaon

Tuloy ang aktibidad at “pamamaga” ng Bulkang Kanlaon sa Negros.

Sa datos na inilabas ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), 11 volcanic earthquake ang naitala at naglabas din ito ng 2,123 na tonelada ng sulfur dioxide flux sa nakalipas na 24-oras.

Bukod pa sa 400 metrong taas na katamtamang pagsingaw.

Ayon sa PHIVOLCS, nananatili sa Alert Level 2 ang Mt. Kanlaon at posible pa rin ang biglaang pagputok ng steam o phreatic explosion kaya inirerekomenda pa rin ang pagbabawal sa paglipad ng anumang sasakyang panghimpapawid malapit sa bulkan at pagpasok sa 4-na-kilometrong Permanent Danger Zone. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
