Patuloy ang pagsusumikap ng Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) na tuluyang maibalik ang suplay ng kuryente sa kanilang franchise area.

Ito’y matapos na maapektuhan ang mga linya ng kuryente bunsod ng mga pag-ulang dala ng hanging habagat na pinaigting ng bagyong Carina.

Ayon kay MERALCO Vice President at Corporate Communications Head Joe Zaldarriaga, nasa 210,000 kabahayan ang wala pa ring suplay ng kuryente.

Partikular na rito ang ilang bahagi ng Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, at Batangas na lubog pa rin sa tubig baha o di kaya’y may mga nagtumbahang puno.

Nagpasalamat naman si Zaldarriaga sa pang-unawa ng ilan nilang customer at nangakong ibabalik ang suply ng kuryente sa mga nabanggit na lugar sa lalong madaling panahon. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
