Hinihimok ngayon ni ACT CIS party-list Rep. Erwin Tulfo ang DOH na gawing libre ang gamot laban sa leptospirosis at tetanus.
Ayon sa mambabatas batid naman ng lahat na lantad ang bansa sa natural disasters lalo na ng bagyo.
Dahil dito mas naging lantad sa impeksyon sa mga indibidwal na nababad at lumusong sa tubig baha.
“As you are aware, our nation frequently faces natural
disasters that leave communities in dire conditions. In the
aftermath of these events, victims are often left with not
only the immediate challenges of loss and displacement but
also the long-term health risks posed by diseases like
leptospirosis and tetanus. these conditions are particularly
insidious because they can develop from exposure to
contaminated water or injury from debris, making them
significant concerns for disaster-affected populations,” sabi ni Tulfo.

Giit pa ni Tulfo, mabilis naman tumugon ang pamahalaan sa pagbangon ng mga nasalanta ng kalamidad ngunit nakakaligtaan ang atensyong madikal na kailangan rin ng mga naapektuhan.
Dahil naman dito, imbes na isipin pa ng mga residente kung saan kukunin ang panggamot at pambili nito ay ilibre na ito ng pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng Philhealth.
“Our proposed resolution aims to fill this gap by ensuring
that victims of natural calamities do not face additional
hardships in accessing treatment for these serious diseases.
By having Philhealth cover these medical expenses, we not
only provide immediate relief but also contribute to the
overall well-being and recovery of affected individuals and
