Hindi na magiging issue para sa mga kandidato ng darating na halalan ang Permit to Campaign ng New People’s Army.
Ito ayon kay National Security Adviser Assistant Director General Jonathan Malaya ay dahil sunod-sunod ang focused military operations ng pamahalaan, kasama na ang mga development progams, para sa mga liblib na lugar o iyong mga tinitirhan ng NPA.
Sa Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon, binigyang diin ng opisyal na pito na lamang ang at mahina na ang guerilla fronts ng NPA sa buong bansa.
Dalawa pa dito, malapit nang alisin sa listahan ng NTF – ELCAC.
“Dahil sa sunud-sunod na focused military operations natin kasama na rin iyong development programs natin sa mga geographically isolated and depressed areas na dating pugad ng News People’s Army, we are very happy to hear na seven weakened guerillas fronts na lang ang mayroon ang New People’s Army sa buong bansa at iyong dalawang iyon ay malapit na ring tanggalin sa listahan ng ating National Task Force-ELCAC.” -Malaya.
Ibig sabihin, hindi na dapat problemahin ng mga kakandidato sa susunod na taon, ang pangangampaniya sa mga lugar na ito.
“So, malaking bagay po iyan sa atin kasi madalas nakikialam ang NPA sa pangangampanya ng ating mga politiko and we do not expect that to happen anymore in the coming elections next year kasi mahina na po talaga ang presensiya ng News People’s Army sa ating mga kanayunan.” -Malaya.| ulat ni Racquel Bayan
