Umabot sa 3,038 na blood units ang naipamahagi ng Philippine Red Cross (PRC) sa mahigit 900 na pasyenteng may dengue simula Enero hanggang Agosto 2024.
Ito ay kasabay ng patuloy na pagtaas ng kaso ng dengue sa bansa.
Ayon sa PRC, ito ay bilang tugon sa tumataas na pangangailangan ng dugo dahil sa dengue outbreak na idineklara ng ilang lokal na pamahalaan.
Tiniyak naman ni PRC Chairman Richard Gordon na patuloy silang maglalaan ng ligtas at libreng dugo sa mga nangangailangan.
Kaugnay nito, hinikayat ng PRC ang publiko na mag-donate ng dugo at sundin ang 5S campaign ng Department of Health upang makaiwas sa dengue.| ulat ni Diane Lear
