Iniutos na ni Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. sa lahat ng revenuers na magkasa ng nationwide raid laban sa retailers at resellers ng iligal na vape.
Ayon kay Comm. Lumagui Jr., hindi magkaroon ng vape smuggler sa bansa kung walang tumatangkilik na vape retailer/reseller.
Pinatutukan na ngayon ni Comm. Lumagui, sa Revenue Regions at Revenue District Offices ang lahat ng mga establisimyento na may bentang vape products.
“The illicit vape industry has been repeatedly warned to comply with BIR regulations. Despite multiple chances, they refuse to follow the law. The BIR will proceed with the full deployment of enforcement activities against illicit vape retailers and resellers. Expect regular raids. Expect criminal cases,” ani Commissioner Lumagui.
Bukod dito, hinikayat din ang lahat ng informants mula sa pampubliko at pribadong sektor na i-report agad ang mga establisimyento na posibleng sangkot sa bentahan ng iligal na vape.
Matatandaang kagabi nang pangunahan ni Commissioner Lumagui Jr. ang inspeksyon sa Sum Vape Shop sa Marikina City na nagbebenta ng vape products na walang tax stamp.
