Tumayo sa plenaryo ng Kamara ang ilan sa mga kinatawan ng political parties para depensahan ang liderato ng Kapulungan.
Sa kaniyang manipestasyon ng pagsuporta sa House Resolution 2092, kuniwestyon ni Quezon Rep. Mark Enverga ang motibo sa paninira sa House Speaker.
“What drives these accusations, Mr. Speaker? Is it political ambition? Or is it simply a refusal to accept the Speaker’s growing stature as a unifying and decisive leader?” Tanong ni Enverga.
Gayunman, anuman aniya ang dahilan para sirain ang reputasyon ng kanilang lider, wala itong katotohanan at hindi sinasalamin ang karakter ni Romualdez.
Bagkus, ipinapakita nito ang tunay na pagkatao ng mga deperadong dungisan siya.
“Our Speaker has consistently demonstrated his commitment to democratic governance, transparency, and public service. Under his leadership, this House has passed landmark legislation to uplift the lives of our fellow Filipinos, recover from economic challenges, and ensure national security. These are the actions of leader who serves with integrity and purpose–not one who engages in petty, baseless conspiracies,” sabi ni Enverga.
Sabi pa ng House Committee on Agriculture and Food Chair, hindi papayag ang Kamara na mabalam ang kanilang pagsisilbi sa taumbayan.
“This House stands firmly behind Speaker Romualdez, not just because he is our leader, but because he represents the values of integrity, accountability, and service that we all aspire to uphold. We will not be swayed by baseless attacks, and we will continue to stand united in our commitment to serving the Filipino people,” dagdag ng kinatawan.
Umalma rin si Surigao del Norte Rep. Robert Ace Barbers sa paratang na balak ng House Speaker na mapahamak ang bise presidente at na sangkot siya sa mga iligal na aktibidad ay paraan lamang para manggulo.
“If there were any truth to these claims, let them be backed by credible evidence. But what we see here is not evidence— it is mere noise, crafted to create division and chaos where unity and focus are most needed,” wika ni Barbers.
Giit pa niya naging mabunga ang Kongreso sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Speaker Romualdez, lalo na sa pagpapasa nga mga lehislasyon na may direktang epekto sa buhay ng mga Pilipino, gaya na lang sa economic recovery at national security.
“Mr. Speaker, this chamber must stand firm against attempts to tarnish the reputation of its leader. Speaker Romualdez has always conducted himself with honor and dedication. His track record of service speaks louder than any false accusation, and his commitment to the rule of law and public accountability remains unshaken,” paglalahad pa niya.
Sabi pa ni Barbers na ipinakita ng House Speaker ang pagiging isang tunay sa statesman sa kaniyang patas na pakikitungo sa bawat isa, kagandahang asal at karakter.
“Through all the attacks and accusations that comes with the position, I see you always taking the high moral ground.
