Asahan na ang mas marami at makabagong kagamitan gayundin ang dekalidad na mga pasilidad sa bagong OFW Hospital na matatagpuan sa lalawigan ng Pampanga.

Ito ang inihayag ng Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) makaraang lumagda na ito ng partnership contract sa University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH).

Ayon kay Migrant Workers Secretary Susan β€œToots” Ople, aabot sa mahigit 11,000 mga pasyente ang napagsilbihan na ng itinayong OFW Hospital sa loob lamang ng halos isang taon.

Ipinagmalaki rin ni Ople na maliban dito ay nasa dalawang sanggol na rin ang ipinanganak sa nabanggit na ospital habang nasa 15 minor surgeries na rin ang libre at matagumpay na naisagawa rito sa ilalim ng Malasakit Program ng Pamahalaan.

Sa ilalim ng nasabing kasunduan, ang UP-PGH na ang siyang mangangasiwa sa operasyon ng OFW Hospital na siyang nagbibigay ng libreng serbisyong medikal para sa mga Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) gayundin ng kanilang pamilya.

Mula nitong February 28, tumanggap na ang OFW Hospital ng 483 pasyente sa kanilang Out-Patient Unit kung saan, 387 ang na-admit o nabigyan ng agarang pagkalinga

Kasunod niyan, nakahanay sa mga bibilhing kagamitan para sa OFW Hospital ngayong taon ay ang MRI at digital mammography, gayundin ang paglalagay ng hemodialysis unit at mas pinalawak na cardiology services. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
