PNP, PDEA, aminado na di agad nasisira ang nakumpiskang droga

Inamin ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at Philippine National Police (PNP) na hindi nila agad nasisira ang mga iligal na droga na nasasabat sa mga operasyon.

Sa pagdinig ng House Committee on Dangerous Drugs patungkol sa recycling ng droga, nausisa ni Antipolo Representative Romeo Acop kung bakit nananatili sa kustodiya ng dalawang ahensya ang malaking halaga ng droga.

Malinaw kasi aniya sa Section 21 ng RA 9165 o Dangerous Drugs Act na dapat ay sirain ang mahuhuling droga sa loob ng 24 oras.

Batay sa report ni PDEA Chief Moro Virgilio Lazo, 7,160.79 kilograms ng shabu ang kanilang nasa inventory, habang mayroong higit 22,000 kilograms ng marijuana.

Ang PNP Drug Enforcement Group naman (PDEG) ay nasa 1,502.35 kilograms ng shabu ang nasa kustodiya ayon kay Police Brigadier Genwral Allan Nobleza.

Paliwanag ni PDEG Director PBGen. Narciso Domingo., hinihintay muna nila ang kautusan ng korte bago sirain ang mga droga.

“Kaya po naiipit sa PNP forensics group ang lahat ng ebidenysa hindi po basta-basta pwedeng sirain ng PNP po yun. Kailangan po ng court order at in this case hindi naman po pwedeng madaliin namin yung korte,” ani Domingo.

Dagdag naman ni Lazo, hinahanapan din nila ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) at Clean Air Act compliant na pasilidad na pagdadalhan ng sisiraing droga. Kailangan din aniya nilang ayusin ang seguridad sa transportasyon ng sisiraing droga.

Inihalimbawa nito na ang PDEA sa Quezon City ay nasa Trese Martires pa ang pasilidad.

Maliban pa aniya ito sa gastos sa destruction ng droga.

“Also it entails financial cost because, with the use of the facility, gusto sana naming i-maximize yung volume of drugs to be seized. Kasi kung kokonti lang sir, the same naman ang presyo kasi. Another factor also is yung security, the preparations to this destruction. For example here in PDEA for us in Quezon City, the present facility that we are using is a facility in Trece Martires, Cavite so we also prepare for the security of the transport until the final destruction of the drugs,” dagdag ni Lazo.
