Isinusulong ng Department of Transportation ang pag-integrate ng ecotourism sa disenyo ng transport infrastructure projects sa bansa.

Ayon kay Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, sinusuportahan ng sustained mobility partikular ang environment-friendly infrastructure ang pagbawi ng industriya ng turismo habang pinangangalagaan ang kalikasan.
