Mga kasanayan o skills na makatutulong para sa ekonomiya ng bansa, dapat palakasin

Mahalaga ngayon na tutukan ng pamahalaan ang pagpapalakas sa kasanayan o skills na makatutulong sa ating ekonomiya na lumakas at maging matatag.

Ito ang payo ni Albay Representative Joey Salceda kasunod na rin ng inilabas na ulat ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED), na mahina ang ‘pandemic generation’ graduates sa kanilang soft skills dahilan para mahirapan sa paghahanap ng trabaho.

Tinukoy nito ang ilan sa skills na mahalaga gaya ng language proficiency lalo na sa English, engineering, computer sciences, at medical sciences lalo at lumalaki ang populasyon ng mga matatanda.

Gayundin ang ilang soft skills na kailangan din sa entreprenurship at innovation.

“Now, this is no debate about whether we should prioritize soft skills over hard skills. What we should instead do is to figure out what kind of skills, in general, does our economy need to thrive and be resilient.” ani Salceda

Kasabay nito, sinabi rin ni Salceda na dapat ay maging bukas na rin ang bansa sa mga pagbabago pagdating sa job generation o job creation.

Marami kasi aniya ngayong indibidwal na imbes na maghanap ng trabaho ay sila na mismo ang gumagawa o lumilikha ng job opportunities.

Inihalimbawa nito ang bansang India, kung saan mayroong malaking bilang ng tech startup companies na binuo ng kanilang engineering graduates.
