Nag-courtesy call kina Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos ang mga opisyal ng Temasek Foundation, ngayong araw, April 13.

Isa itong non-profit philanthropic arm ng state sovereign fund ng Singapore, na sumusuporta sa mga programa at istratehiyang nag-aangat ng buhay at tumutugon sa pangangailangan ng mga komunidad sa Singapore.

Sa pagbisitang ito sa Malacañang, ipinabatid ni Pangulong Marcos ang appreciation sa pahayag ng opisyal ng foundation na magkaroon ng mga proyekto dito sa Pilipinas, na mayroong kinalaman sa pagtugon sa climate change, agricultural sustainability, at fisheries.

“So anyway, I’m happy that you’re able to come to the Philippines and I’m happy to be able to see that there are potential areas where we can participate [in],” — Pangulong Marcos Jr.

Sinabi naman ni Foundation Chair Jennie Yeng, na una na rin silang nagkaroon ng pulong ni Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Renato Solidum at Migrant Workers Secretary Toots Ople, kung saan tinalakay ang areas of partnership na  maaaring magbigay ng suporta ang kanilang foundation.

Kabilang dito ang coconut and bamboo industries, pagbubukas ng scholarship programs at permanent residencies para sa mga Pilipinong nurse.
