Philippine Fleet, nagdiwang ng ika-85 anibersaryo

Pinangunahan ni Philippine Navy Flag Officer in Command Vice Admiral Toribio Adaci Jr. at Philippine Fleet Commander Rear Adm. Renato David ang pagdiriwang ng ika-85 anibersaryo ng Philippine Fleet.

Sa seremonya sa Naval Base Heracleo Alano sa Sangley Point, Cavite, kinilala ni VAdm. Adaci ang Philippine Fleet bilang “backbone” ng buong Naval Operations na bahagi ng pagtataguyod ng pambansang seguridad ay depensa.

Pinuri din ni Adaci ang mga tauhan ng Phil. Navy, civilian Human Resources, at stakeholders na malaki ang nai-ambag sa Philippine Fleet.

Ipinagmalaki naman ni Rear Adm. David ang mga “significant accomplishments” ng Philippine Fleet sa nakalipas na taon.

Kabilang dito ang pag-deliver ng dalawang karagdagang Fast Attack Interdiction Craft, ang kauna-unahang matagumpay na replenishment at sea (RAS) sa pagitan ng dalawang Jose Rizal-class frigates, at ang pagkuha ng dalawang Cyclone-class patrol vessel. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
