Pinatitiyak ng isang mambabatas na handa ang mga telco sa buhos ng mga magpaparehistro ng SIM Card ngayong papalapit na ang deadline ng registration.
Ayon kay Bagong Henerasyon Party-list Representative Bernadette Herrera, ngayong nagdesisyon na ang DICT na hindi palawigin ang April 26 deadline, ay tiyak na dadagsa ang mga last minute na magrerehistro.
Dahil dito, dapat aniya ay all hands on deck ang mga tauhan ng telco na aasiste sa SIM registration at verification.
Pinasisiguro rin ng lady solon na walang scammer o spammer na makakalusot at mananamantala sa bugso ng SIM registrants.
“The telcos should not be surprised by the surge in registrants, but they should also make sure the scammers and spammers are not among those who will register in the last few days to take advantage of the rush so their illegal operations could slip through the cracks or go will the flow of the registration surge,” saad ni Herrera.
