Patuloy na magtutulungan ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at ang Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) para sa mga programang nakatuon sa pagbabagong buhay ng mga dating rebelde ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
Kasunod ito ng paglagda nina DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian at Acting Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity Secretary Isidro Purisima sa isang Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) para mapahusay ang implementasyon ng Comprehensive Philippine Peace Process at MILF Normalization Program.
Sa ilalim nito, nilalayong mapabilis ang proseso ng pamamahagi ng tulong sa mga dating rebelde, miyembro ng kapatiran, at decomissioned combatants para sa kanilang tuluyang pagbabagong-buhay at reintegrasyon sa lipunan.
Nakapaloob rito ang paglalaan ng nasa ₱396-milyong pondo ng OPAPRU sa DSWD para sa pagpapatupad ng socio-economic programs for the MILF Decommissioned Combatants (DCs).
Ayon sa DSWD, target rito na mabigyan ng tig-₱100,000 ang 3,300 MILF DCs bilang transitional cash assistance at livelihood grants.
