Mabilis na nagpaabot ng tulong ang mag-asawang Speaker Martin Romualdez at Tingog Party-list Representative Yedda Marie K. Romualdez sa mga residente ng ikalawang distrito ng Bukidnon na binaha kamakailan.
Nasa P500,000 halaga ng cash assistance; P500,000 halaga ng relief goods; at P10 milyong ayuda sa ilalim ng Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ang hatid ng Office of the Speaker at Tingog Party-list.
Ang pera ay mula sa personal relief fund ni Speaker Romualdez.
“We are united with the province of Bukidnon during this time of need. With the steady resolve of Congressman Jonathan and Congresswoman Yedda hope that the flood victims would be able to get back on their feet sooner than later,” ani Speaker Romualdez.
Nasa 6,810 pamilya ang naapektuhan ng baha sa lugar; 482 pamilya sa Highway Cabangahan; 941 sa Aglayan; 265 sa San Jose; 401 sa Bangcud; 636 sa Sinanglanan; 462 sa Violeta, 537 sa Sto. Niño; 1,386 sa Managok; 821 sa Simaya; at 879 sa San Martin.
Malaki naman ang pasasalamat ni Bukidnon 2nd District Rep. Jonathan Keith “John” Flores sa tulong na natanggap.
“I would like to commend the Speaker, Congresswoman Yedda, and Congressman Jude Acidre for their assistance,” Flores said, referring to the Speaker’s total P1 million donation – half of which was cash aid while the other half is for relief goods, sourced from the Speaker’s personal relief fund,” ani Flores
Plano ni Flores na gamitin ang P500,000 cash assistance mula kay Speaker Romualdez sa pagtatayo ng community pantry, kung saan bibilhin sa mga magsasaka ang kanilang ani na ipamamahagi sa pantry.
