Nasa 50,000 miyembro at kaalyado ng LGBTQIA+, inaasahang dadal sa Pride PH Festival 2023

All systems go na ang pamahalaang lungsod ng Quezon sa pinalawak na Pride PH Festival na gaganapin sa Quezon Memorial Circle sa darating na Sabado, June 24.

Ayon sa QC LGU, inaasahan nitong aabot sa hanggang 50,000 na mga miyembro ng LGBTQIA+ at mga kaalyado ang dadalo sa Pride Festival ngayong taon, na halos doble kumpara sa 25,000 attendees noong nakaraang taon.

Sa isinagawang press conference kaugnay ng pagtitipon, siniguro ng mga organizer na handa na sila para sa whole-day event ng Pride PH festival sa darating na Sabado.

Batay sa iskedyul, magsisimula ng alas-10 ng umaga ang Pride PH festival sa isang Pride Expo kung saan itatampok ang iba’t ibang aktibidad gaya ng HIV Testing, Mental Health Sessions, Product Sampling at Activations, at LGBTQIA+ Merchants.

Susundan ito ng Pride March pagtuntong ng alas-tres ng hapon kung saan mas mahaba at mas makulay na martsa ang aasahan. Ito ay magsisimula sa Quezon City Circle patungong East Avenue at V. Luna-Kalayaan at pabalik ng Quezon City Circle.

Magkakaroon din ng Pride Night pagsapit ng alas-sais ng gabi kung saan inaasahan ang iba’t ibang performances mula sa Queer talents, Drag Race at Drag Den Queens, at Solidarity Speeches.

Una nang ipinunto ni Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte na buo ang suporta ng lokal na pamahalaan sa Pride Festival na isa ring panawagan para mawakasan na ang diskriminasyon laban sa mga LGBTQIA+.
