Hinigpitan ng PNP ang online na pagbebenta ng mga uniporme at kagamitan ng mga pulis sa pamamagitan ng isang kasunduan kasama ang online selling platform na Lazada, na nilagdaan ngayong umaga.

Ayon kay PNP PIO Chief Police BGen. Red Maranan, sa ilalim ng kasunduan, walang online seller ang makakapagbenta ng mga opisyal na gamit ng mga pulis sa Lazada.

Paliwanag ni Maranan, inisyal na hakbang palang ito, at susubukan nilang mag-reach out sa iba pang e-commerce sites para masiguro na hindi makakabili ng mga gamit ng pulis ang hindi naman pulis.

Ipinagababawal sa batas ang iligal na pagbebenta ng uniporme ng pulis alinsunod sa Article 179 ng Revised Penal Code o RA 3815.

Lahat ng nagtitinda ng mga uniporme ng pulis ay dapat na nakarehistro, at dapat ding manghingi muna ng identification card ang mga nagtitinda sa kanilang kustomer para matiyak na pulis ang kanilang katransaksyon. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
