Dumating na sa Laoag International Airport sa Ilocos Norte ang replacement aircraft para sa VietJet Air na nag-force landing kaninang umaga.

Ito ang kinumpirma ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) matapos makaranas ng problemang teknikal ang naturang eroplano, dahilan upang mag-force landing ito sa nabanggit na paliparan.

Ayon kay CAAP Spokesperson Eric Apolonio, magsisilbing recovery flight ang dumating na eroplano upang ganap na maihatid ang mga pasahero sa Vietnam.

Ala-5 ng umaga kanina nang lumapag ang VietJet Air sa nabanggit na paliparan sakay ang may 207 na pasahero at 7 crew nito na nasa ligtas namang kalagayan.
