Higit 1k magsasaka sa Cebu, Bohol at Negros Oriental, kabilang sa mga nakatanggap ng CLOA mula sa DAR

Mula sa pagiging tenants, matatawag na ngayong may-ari ng lupang kanilang sinasaka ang higit 1,000 magsasaka sa Central Visayas.

Ito ay matapos na maipagkaloob sa mga Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries ang Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) sa pamamagitan Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) sa isinagawang programa sa bayan ng Valencia, lalawigan ng Negros Oriental.

Kabilang sa mga nakatanggap ng CLOA ay ang 20 ARB mula sa Bohol na mga residente ng bayan ng Catigbian, Carmen, Talibon, at Jagna.

Nasa 204 ARBs naman ang mula sa Cebu Province na galing sa bayan ng Barili, Carmen, Carmon, Medellin, Tabogon, kabilang din sa siyudad ng Bogo, Danao, at Carcar.

Natanggap naman na nasa 582 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries mula sa Negros Oriental ang kanilang e-title, partikular ang mga magsasaka sa Amlan, Bais, Bayawan, Canlaon, Mabinay, Manjuyod, Valencia, at Zamboanguita.

Samantala, regular titles naman ang natanggap ng nasa 452 ARBs mula sa Tanjay, Sta. Catalina, Dauin, Siaton, Zamboanguita, at Mabinay.

Sa kaniyang mensahe, binigyang-diin ni DAR Central Visayas Regional Director Leomides Villareal na dapat ingatan ang kanilang mga titulo dahil ito ay patunay at patotoo sa intensyon ng pamahalaan na tulungan ang mga magsasaka lalo na ang mga nangungupahan.

Sabayan ang isinagawang awarding sa buong bansa na kasabay din ng pagpirma ng bagong Agrarian Emancipation Act kung saan nasa 32,441 land titles ang ipinamahagi ng pamahalaan habang nai-pardon ang nasa P57.56 bilyon utang na hindi nabayaran ng mga ARB.| ulat ni Jessa Agua-Ylanan| RP1 Cebu
