Binuksan ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ngayong araw ang bago nitong Communications and Command Center sa punong tanggapan nito sa Pasig City.
Dumalo sa nasabing okasyon sina Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, dating MMDA Chairperson at ngayon ay Marikina Representative Bayani Fernando, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos, Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon, at Navotas City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval.
Sa talumpati ni MMDA Chair Don Artes, ang bago nitong Communications at Command Center ang pinakamalaki, pinaka-advance at pinaka-cost effective na command center sa buong bansa.
Mayroon itong state-of-the-art facilities tulad ng operations center, data center, situation room, viewing room, media room, at power room pati rin ang mga makabagong teknolohiya tulad ng high-definition CCTV cameras, intelligent traffic signalization system, at Hytera radio smart dispatch system na may built-in GPS.
Plano rin ng MMDA na magkabit ng 45 kilometrong fiber optic cable na mag-iintegrate sa mga CCTV camera ng mga LGU sa NCR, mag-procure ng artificial intelligence system na may vehicle classification, car counter, license plate, at facial recognition. | ulat ni Gab Villegas
