Pagsusulong ng mga alternatibong renewable energy sources, sinusuportahan ng NGCP

Suportado ng National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) ang mga hakbang ng energy sector sa pagsusulong ng green energy o mga altenatibong renewable energy (RE) sources.

Nakapaloob na sa Transmission Development Plan (TDP) ng NGCP ang variable renewable energy at mga RE plants na nakakasa nang papasok sa grid sa mga susunod na taon.

Ang taunang TDP nainihahanda ng NGCP at inihahain sa public consultations ay nakaakibat sa National Renewable Energy Program 2020-2040 ng Department of Energy.

Target nito ang pagpasok ng 50% ng renewables sa grid pagdating ng 2040.

Ayon sa NGCP,ang State Grid Corporation of China(SGCC) na technical partner nito ang nagmamay-ari ng mga teknolohiya para magpatakbo ng isang green at sustainable power grid.

Noong 2021, nasa 540 GigaWatts ng renewable energy ang installed capacity na nakapaloob sa grid ng SGCC na may utilization rate na 97.4%.

Dahil sa pagsosyo ng SGCC at NGCP, sinisiguro ng NGCP na handa at kaya ng grid ang pagpasok ng variable renewable energy.| ulat ni Rey Ferrer
