Sinimulan na ngayong araw ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ang emergency cash transfer (ECT) payout para sa mga nasalanta ng habagat at bagyong Egay sa Ilocos Norte.
Tugon na rin ito ng ahensya sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na matutukan ang “early recovery” sa mga lugar na hinagupit ng kalamidad.
“This is in line with the President’s instruction that no resident who is severely-affected by the typhoon will ever go hungry, “ Secretary Gatchalian.
Sa ulat ng DSWD Ilocos Regional Office, tuloy-tuloy na ang pakikipag-ugnayan nito sa Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) para sa spot validation at consolidation ng listahan ng mga benepisyaryo.
Kaugnay nito, target na ring simulan ng DSWD Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) ang ECT payout sa Bontoc, Mountain Province sa August 11 kung saan nasa 385 benepisyaryo ang bibigyan ng tulong.
Bukod naman sa ECT program, magkakaroon din ang DSWD ng cash-for-work (CFW) sa mga apektadong lugar na tatagal ng 30-45 araw.
