EcoWaste, muling nagpaalala sa mga magulang na maging mapanuri sa pagbili ng school supplies

Ilang linggo bago ang pagbubukas ng klase ay muling pinaalalahanan ng toxics watchdog group EcoWaste Coalition ang mga magulang na maging mapanuri sa pamimili ng school supplies ng mga mag-aaral.

Ayon sa Ecowaste, dapat na isaalang-alang sa pagbili ng school supplies ang mga kagamitang walang toxic chemicals at hindi mapanganib sa mga bata.

Sa inilabas nitong back-to-school safety shopping tips, sinabi ng Ecowaste na dapat ugaliing suriin ang label ng mga produktong binibili kabilang ang age recommendations at safety information.

Iwasan ang mga notebook na may PVC plastics, o anumang kagamitang may markang “3” o “PVC” pati mga art supplies na may heavy metals, gaya ng lead-containing crayons.

Hanggat maaari, bumili ng “non-toxic” crayons, watercolors, at clay at piliin ang eraser na “phthalate-free”.

Payo rin ng EcoWaste, iprayoridad ang mga ligtas na produkto at i-reuse ang iba pang gamit na kapaki-pakinabang pa.
