Mas marami pang ehersisyo militar sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Australia, inaasahan ng mga hepe ng militar ng dalawang bansa

Kapwa umaasa si Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. at Chief of the Australian Defense Force (ADF), General Angus Campbell na magkakaroon ng mas marami pang ehersisyo militar sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Australia.

Ang pahayag ay ginawa ng dalawang opisyal sa kanilang pagpupulong kahapon sa pagbisita ni Gen. Campbell sa General Headquarters sa Camp Aguinaldo.

Kasabay ito ng pormal na pagtatapos kahapon ng ALON 2023 military exercise sa pagitan ng dalawang bansa kasama ang US Marine Corps.

Nagpasalamat naman si Gen. Brawner kay Gen. Campbell sa lahat ng suporta ng ADF sa bansa, at sa tagumpay ng ehersisyo, na bahagi ng Indo Pacific Endeavor ng Australia kasama ang iba’t ibang mga bansa sa rehiyon.

Sinabi naman ni Gen. Campbell na nais ng ADF na manatiling isang partner ng AFP na nakikinig at nag-a-adapt. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
