Pagkakaroon ng rainwater facility bago bigyan ng construction permit ang mga property developer, inihirit ng isang kongresista sa mga LGU

Hinimok ni Camarines Sur Rep. LRay Villafuerte ang mga LGU na ikonsidera na gawing requirement sa mga property developer ang paglalagay ng rainwater retention facilities bago sila bigyan ng construction permit.

Ang panawagan ng mambabatas ay bunsod na rin nang naranasang malawakang pagbaha sa Maynila at karatig lalawigan nang tumama ang Bagyong Egay at Falcon.

Sa ilalim ng kaniyang House Bill 5840, magiging requirement sa mga commercial, institutional at residential estate developers ang pagkakaroon ng rainwater retention facilities sa kanilang mga proyekto.

Para naman sa mga proyekto na naaprubahan na, bibigyan sila ng tatlong taon para makapaglagay ng rain catchment facility mula sa taon na maging ganap na batas ang panukala.

Sa paraan aniyang ito, mababawasan ang tubig ulan na mapupunta sa mga lansangan na nagdudulot ng pag-baha gayundin ay makaka ipon ng tubig na magagamit ng mga komunidad sakaling magkaroon ng kakulangan sa suplay sa mga dam.
