Siniguro ni Speaker Martin Romualdez na hahanapan ng Kamara ng pondo ang specialty centers na itatatag sa mga regional hospital, upang mailapit sa mga Pilipino.
Ito ay matapos lagdaan bilang ganap na batas ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang Republic Act 11959 o Regional Specialty Centers Act.
Ani Romualdez, maaaring hindi na naisama ng Department of Budget and Management sa paghahanda ng P5.768-trillion na pambansang pondo sa 2024 ang itatayong mga center, dahil nabuo ang panukalang buget bago pa lagdaan ng Pangulo ang batas.
“In any case, we in the House will ensure that the necessary initial appropriations are allocated for the implementation of the law and the setting up, equipping and staffing of the special medical care units in regional hospitals,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.
Aatasan ni Speaker Romualdez ang Committee on Appropriations na tiyaking maisama ang kinakailangang pondo sa panukalang 2024 national budget.
Pinapurihan naman ni Speaker Romualdez si Pangulong Marcos Jr. sa pagsasabatas ng panukalang ipinasa ng Kongreso para sa pagtatatag ng regional specialty medical centers.
“Once these special care facilities are established, people in the provinces, in rural areas, no longer need to travel to Metro Manila to receive specialized treatment and care.
