Susuportahan ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang anomang pagsusulong para sa taas-sahod ng mga guro.

Sa interpelasyon ni ACT-Teachers Party-list Representative France Castro, sinabi nito na batay na rin sa pahayag ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM), may nasa P86.9 billion na maaaring magamit para sa salary increases ng government employees.

Kaya naman tanong ng mambabatas, susuportahan ba ng kagawaran ang pagtutulak na madagdagan ang sweldo ng mga guro at education personnel.

Tugon naman ni Education Undersecretary Gloria Jumamil-Mercado, susuprotahan nila ang anomang panukala para mapataas ang sahod ng mga teacher.

Katunayan mayroon na aniya silang pag-aaral katuwang ang Polytechnic University of the Philippines, kung paano ang magiging proseso ng pagtataas ng sweldo batay sa inflation.
