Tulong ng IOM para sa mga nasalanta ng Bagyong Egay, naihatid na sa mga probinsya

Nai-turn-over na sa Department of Social Welfare and Development at Department of Housing Settlement and Urban Development ang tulong ng ibang bansa para sa mga naapektuhan ng bagyong Egay.

Sa pamamagitan ng International Organizations for Migrations (IOM) ng United Nations Migration Agency, nakapaghatid ito ng 2,100 na tarps para magamit na pansamantalang bubong ng mga biktima ng kalamidad.

Bukod dito, naibigay na rin ng IOM ang 600 na solar lamp at 400 na mga modular tents sa DSWD at DHSUD.

Nauna rito, nakapagbigay na rin ang IOM sa Pilipinas ng food packs para sa mga nasalanta ng bagyo.

Bukod sa relief operations, tumulong na rin ang mga sundalong Amerikano na bahagi ng Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement o EDCA sa paglilinis ng mga kalsada sa Laoag, Ilocos Norte.

Naihatid na rin ng military aircraft ng United States Marine Corp ang 11,000 food packs sa mga probinsya na naapektuhan ng matinding pagbaha.

Tiniyak naman ng United State Agency International Development o USAID na magpapatuloy ang kanilang tulong sa Pilipinas para sa mabilis na pagbangon mula sa hagupit ng bagyo. | ulat ni Michael Rogas
