Kumpiyansa si Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Police General Benjamin Acorda Jr., na mareresolba ng binuong Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) ang kaso ng pananambang at pagpatay sa isang lawyer sa Bangued, Abra.

Sa pulong balitaan sa Kampo Crame ngayong araw, sinabi ni Acorda na nakarating na sa kaniya ang insidente subalit ayaw muna niyang magbigay ng komento

Kumikilos na rin aniya ang binuong SITG, na kaniyang inatasan para tutukan at imbestigahan ang naturang kaso.

Dakong hapon kahapon, nang lapitan ng dalwang lalaking naka-motorsiklo ang puting kotse na sinasakyan ni Atty. Ma. Saniata Alzate, habang nakaparada sa tapat nang kaniyang bahay nang bigla itong pagbabarilin.
