Awareness campaign sa price ceiling ng bigas, inilunsad ng PRO-MIMAROPA

Inatasan ni Police Regional Office (PRO) 4B Director Police Brig. General Joel Doria ang lahat ng kanilang tauhan na palakasin ang awareness campaign ukol sa price ceiling ng bigas sa buong rehiyon.

Ayon kay BGen. Doria, ito’y bilang tugon sa itinakda ng Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na price ceiling sa bigas na nakasaad sa Executive Order No. 39.

Tiniyak ni BGen. Doria ang pagbibigay ng police assistance sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) at Department of Agriculture (DA) sa pagpapatupad ng kautusan ng Pangulo.

Ayon kay BGen. Doria, ang PRO-MIMAROPA sa paggabay ni Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. at PNP Chief Police General Benjamin Acorda Jr. ay nakikiisa sa bisyon ng Pangulo na siguruhing abot-kaya para sa lahat ang presyo ng bigas.

Ang mga lalabag sa price ceiling na P41 kada kilo para sa regular-milled at P45 para sa well-milled rice, ay mahaharap sa pagkabilanggo ng isa hanggang 10 taon, at multang mula 5,000 hanggang isang milyong piso. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
